Welcome to Monument Valley High School, where our goal is to prepare our students for everything their futures hold. Part of the Kayenta Unified School District, we are located in the northeastern corner of Arizona on the Navajo Indian Reservation. We are proud to be a Performing Plus school!

Greetings Mustangs!

On behalf of the faculty and staff, we want to thank you for choosing to be educated at Monument Valley High School. Our school has enjoyed an enviable reputation on the Navajo Nation for many years. You may already know this if your family members and friends were Mustangs before you.

As we begin each school year, we remind ourselves that it is our responsibility and privilege to continue the traditions of scholarship and athletics at Monument Valley. We are counting on you to support school improvement efforts to raise academic achievement levels of all students and to increase the graduation rate. Our continuing priorities for 2011-2012 are school safety, teaching and learning, and a four-year graduation rate for all students. This means you should try to pass all three AIMS tests as sophomores and then continue learning and growing to prepare for a useful and fulfilling life after high school. 

In order to graduate from MVHS, you will need 24 credits and a passing score on the AIMS Reading, AIMS Writing, and AIMS Mathematics tests.
